Damon W
as it says been watching a few videos recently of slo mo trials, which looks jaw dropping. asked a few questions and most of them run like around 50fps (the ones i asked) my cam in current setting records at 30fps, (comps not good enough for me to up it) but i noticed on sony vegas a button on the video track called 'bypass motion blur'? and i cant find it in the help file even though i import the file in 30fps i use a 60fps template to render anything else i can do? BurlyBox
theres a plug in in after effects you can use called twixtor which blends the frames into each other to make the slow mo smooth but obviously its not a great help to you. as far as im aware on sony vegas you cant make any significant difference on the quality of slow motion because most people do it in after effects but even that doesnt look great at 29.97 fps as it kinda looks like its being warped and distorted as it moves to each frame. Mat Tea Why
As the previous poster said, you need AE and twixtor. Does your camera record interlaced footage? Look into bob deinterlacing, although it gives you a very jittery image at half the resolution that you recorded at. Then if you rendered in Vegas setting the quality to either Good, or Best, Vegas will blend each frame together to make the motion a little smoother. Rendering it at 60fps won't make it slower. If you wanted it to play slower, then you would have to right click on it in the timeline, click on properties and change the playback speed. The problem that you have there, is if you wanted a 30fps clip to play at halfspeed, you would get 15fps which looks terrible.
