i had mine a month with no problem then i left mine standing for 2 weeks whilst i had no forks, get them back and the brakes were leaking loads!

i re bled and have been riding near enough everyday and theyve been alright. i find some occasionally inside the little cover.

but im going away for 3 months in a week, so if i come back and they're leaking i'm gonna send them back on warranty to have them checked out.

are they leaking from the little gaps in the lever?

Mine did, such a piss take, what has everyone bleed it with? mine was a water bleed. but i did have a serious (ish) crash (after leak) high speed over the handle bars and it has withstanded that. think i have another leak but for the life of me work out where its coming from.

Not got a clue what everyones doing wrong, mines like 3 months old and its fine.

been running hs33 for the past year without anything going wrong..........

My bike had also been standing for 2 weeks while my new frame arrived

Sorry if you misunderstood - the lever will be inspected by Magura and then hopefully replaced. We can't say for sure yet though.

mines bled with royal blood. i run it through the forks so cant take it off to water bleed.

theres nothing wrong with the older style hs33's, its just these new ones.

off topic but its easy enough to get a good water bleed without using a 'bath bleed'....having a friend to help makes the job even easier...syringe at the slaves and the tube at the lever submerged in a pint glass to push/pull water through the system

come to think about it, i didnt use that brake for 3 weeks. went to use it and leaked.

could it not be that its only after a long period of no use that enough 'leakage' has occured for it to be noticeable? when in fact its actually happening all the time but as you ride from day to day its so minimal, washed off with rain etc etc that you dont notice....

find it strange that a brake would only tend to leak when under no internal pressure, unless it was the seals that had some reason deteriorated and failed. if thats the case theres only 3 places to look surely
