3dd
Hi. While I was looking for a second hand mono trial on the forum, I though I would see if I can go for something alternative that would have as much stoppping power and hold as mono trial does. There is a Juicy 7 on the chain reactions on offer with minor scratches, just wondered if that would be any similar. Few people had it on their stocks and seemed really bitey, however I did not have a good on a bike itself and cannot tell if the hold is any good. Tried Marta myself before and that was really weak, lacking both lock and power. So what do people think about juice 7s? murph82
I think avid bb7, cheaper, simpler, just as good as any hydraulic I've ever used

Scott Gibbs
There ok not fantastic but if its cheap enough give it a bash! I personally dont like hopes so i've tried various brakes. I'd reccomend either an Avid bb7 or Shimano SLX. Both are quite cheap and fantastic brakes. But if you want a hope wait and buy one of them.
