03danpad
Hey guys, this might already have been covered so sorry if it has. Been out of trials for about 6 years and recently bought an onza zoot, thinking I would now be terrible opted for the standard version including v-brakes but soon got back in to it. Although they are good and I have set them up perfect I'm just not confident in them so looking for the best bet in hydraulics. I know Maggys are a safe bet but know there are issues getting the EVO2 mounts on the Zoot so was looking at disk all round. Here's what I'm looking at: Avid Elixir R Carbon http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=29726 Onza Elite http://www.rocknrollbikes.com/trials/brakes/onza-elite-hydraulic-disc-brakes.html or Avid elixir 5s http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=54689 I cant find any reviews of any of them as regards to trials only MTB. Hope mono's would be my first option but cant justify spending £300+ anyone got any suggestions? Cheers

Carlperkins
yeah id say stick with v's. ive had avid hydraulics before and they are just annoying! id reccommend avid sd7 v's, very good and strong, you could then get some high end v pads like heatsinks or tnn lgm's with v backings and grind rim. pure win
03danpad
Okay, so how does this sound. Front: Avid bb7 Rear: Avid Single Digit 7? Or maybe a rear Single Digit ultimate. What set up do you guys have?
Azarathal
Okay, so how does this sound. Front: Avid bb7 Rear: Avid Single Digit 7? Or maybe a rear Single Digit ultimate. What set up do you guys have? The ultimates develop play over time wheras the sd7's seem to be alright. The shimano deore vee arms are quite good too. Make sure you get a decent cable such as a linear. Best thing about vee's is that except for the pads you can find spares in all bike shops.
