BradJohnson
Hi a mate of mine give me some tar for my brakes, i have little left so i found some on the road where a crack had been repaired, i heated the tar up and moulded it into a ball ready to use on my rim, when i went to used it i rubed it on my rim and i doesn't seem sticky enough to stick, i heated it up with a lighter until it started the bubble and then tried rubbing it on my rim but it cools every quickly and wont stick to my rim, have i dug up the wrong tar or am i doing something wrong ? i dug the rights hand side one Edited May 16, 2011 by bradjohnson
LukasMcNeal
When you put it on it shouldn't be anywhere near liquid form. Let it set for a while then try again.

LukasMcNeal
Your tar must be broken.
Azarathal
Hold the bike up and spin the wheel using the cranks really fast, then just hold it on. If it doesn't work then try get some off the old wooden electricity poles.

I prefer rubbing it on fast Just get some tar from a different road? Edited May 16, 2011 by Hopping_Topsy
