nb88
Does anyone still use a downtube protector? I dented my pristine inspired frame a few days ago and thinking of getting one. I used to have an armourdillo which worked well, but pretty ugly. Does anyone know of any good ones out at the mo, or how to make a decent one? nb88
Ordered one of those, cheers Shame its after I put the big ass dent in my frame . How much do dents usually weaken frames? I'll post a pic so you can see the size, if anyone can help? I've heard fourplay frames have quite chunky downtubes so might hold in there longer than most? Blake
Is it a big dent? A small ding is nothing to worry about, and with a downtube protector it can't get any worse

Revolver
Fourplay frames seem to be pretty strong, so I'd not worry about it. Cover it up and forget, lol, if you hear any strange noises look then.

Ateam
I picked this down tube protector from Tarty. Worth a bit of protection when your a newb for life like me.
monkeyseemonkeydo
Yeah I wouldn't worry- the downtubes on Fourplay are 2mm thick so dents tend not to be too serious. My last frame is still going strong after 3/4 years and has had a dent slightly smaller than yours since the first week. Having said that, with my Tartybikes hat on- definitely get a carbon protector because they're pimp as fook .
nb88
Got the pro carbon protector today, it is pretty pimp! Much better than seeing that massive dent anyway
AJ9604
my carbon protector has saved my frame quite a few times so i would recommend on of those.
