Herrarge
Hey guys, I once again have a question. As I don't know much about brakes cause I've been riding brakeless since the day I started riding, I wanted to know if a Magura HS33 brake is compatible with an Onza Zoot (Onza Zoot 2010) or not. If not what is the best alternative? Thanks for your help Mak
AndrewEH1
As the Onza Zoot has V-Brakes if you will need to buy a V-Brake adaptor such as this: Magura Evo2 Brake Adaptor

RossMcd
Maguras usually come with the adapters as standard. However tarty dont do this. They sell them with just the brake, thus giving you the chance to choose the clamps of your choice. I infact have the exact piece of kit you are looking for, for sale in my sales topic. Tioz
I wouldn't put maguras on a 2 clamp..they say that a good vee is better in this case
RossMcd
I wouldn't put maguras on a 2 clamp..they say that a good vee is better in this case Although a magura evo2 combined with the magura horse shoe booster and a vee brake booster and the brake is just as good! Tioz
Although a magura evo2 combined with the magura horse shoe booster and a vee brake booster and the brake is just as good! But a vee costs less and is easyer to set up and service
stephenmx50
Well i have a rear HS33 with Evo 2 setup (modified) on my Zoot 24". Its not an easy setup at all, this is because the gap between the Vee posts is much wider than the Evo 2 adapter can take. I had to adapt mine (luckily i am an engineer by trade and have all the tools to hand) i had to cut the adapter in half and add an extra bridge to gain the wider width. It works well but was a pain in the arse even with all the tools and the workshop i had to hand. If i was you (as mentioned above) i would get a good Vee set up with a booster and some good pads, will save you so much hassle...
