ezgonzo
Hi all, just finished building my bike, it's been some what of a mission, it's taken the best part of 2 months to source and wait for parts but she's finaly all together, here's the spec; FRAME: ZHI Z3 FORKS: 24/7 (DISC ONLY) HEADSET: ECHO SL STEM: ECHO (TR) BB: ECHO 128MM ISIS CRANKS: ECHO SL (2009 EDITION) + ECHO SL CRANK BOLTS BASH GUARD: ECHO URBAN FREEWHEEL: ECHO SL 108 PEDALS: ECHO TR PLATFORM 2011 FRONT WHEEL: ECHO TR RIM, ECHO TR DISC HUB REAR WHEEL: ECHO TR RIM, ECHO TR FIXED HUB, TRIALTECH 14T SPROCKET, ECHO TR SNAIL CAMS CHAIN: KMC Z510 HX, 1/8'' + HALF LINK GRIPS: INSPIRED LOCK ON'S HANDLE BARS: ONZA CARBON RISERS FRONT BRAKE: MAGURA GUSTAV (HOPE BRAIDED HOSE) REAR BRAKE: ECHO SL 2009 + ECHO PADS BRAKE BOOSTER + CLAMPS: ECHO URBAN 4-BOLT, ECHO TR CLAMPS TYRES: KENDA 8 BLOCK FRONT & REAR (2.35) (pics are a little poor as they where taken with my phone) there's still a couple of little things to do like fit braided hose on the rear brake, swap the rear echo lever for a red one, grind the front rim, i'm also waiting on the proper crown race that should of come with the headset from a member that will remain nameless for now, so in the mean time i'm using some random one that i had lying around, it works in a fasion but the bottom bearing sits 3mm away from the forks and looks awful, i certainly won't be doing any big drops until i can get it sorted, i have'nt had the time to take her for a proper spin yet but hopefully i can get out on her @ the weekend, it's been a fair few years since i've rode and it's far from what i used to ride but it a will be laugh and i'm sure there will be a lot of bloopers so all will be good, thanks for looking and any suggestions, comments are improvements i can make will be much appreciated. EZ. Edited May 13, 2011 by ezgonzo
Rockman
Why grind the front rim if you have a disc brake ?
Danfoss - BANNED
Hey nice to see my old frame being put too good use. Have fun. How you got it so dirt in only building it. I cleaned that before sending
ezgonzo
Why grind the front rim if you have a disc brake ? i have'nt quite made my mind up yet whether too grind it or not, if i do it will only be for aesthetics rather than function to be honest, i just think it looks a bit odd with the rear grinded and the front not. Hey nice to see my old frame being put too good use. Have fun. How you got it so dirt in only building it. I cleaned that before sending cheers dan , yeah it got a little muddy, after i put her together i went out for a quick ride but i only got five mins down the road before it chucked it down and i ended up soaked and covered in mud, the pics where taken under a railway bridge while i was waiting for it to stop raining but unfortunatly the rain did'nt stop so that was the end of that, hopefully this weekend will fair better and i can put her through her paces,

ezgonzo
* UPDATED PICS IN OP * No problem, ride her hard Cheers dan i will try . hows that back tyre? never seen one used on the back before... not too bad to be honest, i was a bit dubious running an 8 block on the back but she feels pretty good, it hold's well when it comes to smooth solid surfaces so suited for flat, urban/ streety riding, went out today for a little blitz but was once again foiled, this time the rotor came loose , also my bro's rear hub decided to destroy itself, all in all not so good but it felt good riding again even if i must of looked like an absolute noob again , may have too change the stem though as it just does'nt feel right, may try something a little shorter with less rise. ezgonzo
bikes look clean..you guys new to bmouth ? dont think ive ever rode with you guys before ! Thanks , lived in b'mth for a few years now, i used to ride a bit a fair few years back when i was still @ school but did'nt really get into it that heaverly as drinking and chasing skirt seemed like the better thing too do. been out a few times since building the bike but things don't seem to be geling like they used to, it's like i'm having to learn how to ride a bike all over again, back in the day it seemed so different, did'nt have a care in the world, i'd just launch off stupidly high drop offs and think whats the worst that can happen, i get time off from school, now unfortunitly i've got a career and responsibility's so there's somewhat of a mental block going on in there somewhere, hitting the deck is'nt an issue, i seem to spend a lot of the time smacking into the tarmac and a couple of times where quite fun apart from skining my shin and then doing it again two days later, not quite so much fun, apart from that i'm loving the bike . them bikes look like echo's but with out the stickers on. nice bikes cheers , the one on the left is a zhi z3 (mine) and the one on the right is a echo pure 09 (bro's).
