Gu 06 Stock Update

right, Ive not been riding for over a year and a half I would say it's been. My friend 'Andeee' on forum was bugging me like mad by saying 'when are you going to ride again' he would say it all the time, then I saw all the riding photos of round Scunthorpe and though well I do miss trials.. So i bought Andee's gu frame off him. here she is :).

Frame: Gu Tyhoon 06 stock

Forks: Fatty R's

Headset: First blog Z

Stem: TrialTech Sport Forget High rise

Bars: Monty riser bars

BB: Try All 128mm ISIS

CRANKS: Adamant with 18t Sprocket

Front wheel: Hope pro II hub on Echo rim, random front tyre

Chain: KMC silver bmx chain

Rear wheel: Chris King Classic hub on BMF rear rim

Chain Tensioner: TrialTech

Grips: Random lock on's

Rear brake: 04 HS33 running PHAT PADS

Brake Booster: TrialTech

Front Brake: Avid front vee on phat inspired pads.

Dont think Ive missted anything though.......

Take said bolt out and chech the bolt threads. If theyre fine, its the frames mounts.

Drill out whats left of the threads, tap it a size up from the bolt and whack a helicoil in there.

Will return it to its original thread size and be Stronger (Y)

I had to do this in my Pythons mounts. All 4 had stripped when I bought it (The owner conveniently forgot to mention this) so I helicoiled them. No issues at all!

Ah right easy to do or? Ive had my python heilcoiled to m6 but guy who has done it made it look a mess :( so abit unsure

It's a pretty hard job to make it look a mess! Unless you're completely cack handed with a drill....

As long as the mount hole is completely raped you should be able to helicoil it back to its original size and not go up one. Take it to a local engineering firm to see if they'll do it?
