Matt1995 Posted May 10, 2011 Report Share Posted May 10, 2011 hey i was rummaging around for some brake cleaner because my front disc is really dirty and needs a dam good clean. i came across some wd40 and on it says it stops squeeks and removes dirt? would it be ok to use this? also im posotive my pads are contaminated so how do i clean them? do i need to bleed the brake before taking them out or what? I may have this mixed up with bass strings though. No, boiling them does help. I usually boil the pads and rotor then stick the pads in a hot oven for 5-10 minutes.
