Nick In Action
Someones selling it for $400. Everything on it looks like its from walmart. I'd like to upgrade everything slowly, starting with the brakes. Would a really good Hydraulic rim brake system be compatible with the frame mounts? Thanks http://i54.tinypic.com/fkp2cm.jpg Edited May 7, 2011 by Nick In Action
sstein
Yeah, would be fine but a v brake setup is quite often better. Also (although i only have that crappy pic to go on) it does not look that cheap a setup

ogre
why? the spec looks prety good, i've used vee brakes for 2 years, and they're awesome...
bip
Stick with the vees, maybe get a grind and new pads for the rear when you feel the need. Save your money and maybe look into new bars/stem depending on how you get on with the ones in the picture. Also if a basic freewheel is on there at the moment then wait till it dies and get a nice one. Otherwise the bike looks pretty decent.
