kaybs41282
XTR??? Or are they no good for trials?!
fathopper
Both avid and xtr are pretty good arms, can't really go wrong with either I don't think. I've run avids before and haven't had a problem with them, also get a slick cable, and fairly decent lever like an avid sd7
skidmark
i used to have a t-bird with avid v-brakes on it and they worked a treat for me, then i had a limey 2 with a xtr on the front. if xtr's are set up right with good pads then they are wicked brakes hope this helps you
Endohopper
XTR are all kinds of awesome for XC but don't forget that trials also stresses brakes backwards as well as forwards , which can wear out the pivots in XTR's parallel push linkage . Often a simpler brake arm will perform and feel just fine , notably Avid's SD series or Shimano Deore or LX / XT .
