thispartisrequired
As it says, why is it so hard I understand there is an amount of pressure in the system which is how it works, but why does the hosing have to be so hard I suppose it all comes from my repeated failings when attempting to fit my Monty splitter, will it leak on the join if I heated up the hosing so it gets a bit soft before I fit it? Just don't feel safe tapping the splitter in 'cos it feels so dainty Edited May 1, 2011 by thispartisrequired
trials owns
Yeah when i done it, i put the hosing under a flame for a few seconds (not long at all otherwise it will melt straigh of), Slide it on a little (barbed hose end that is), waited for the hosing to cool down then just repeated it untill it was fully on, alot easier and hasnt leaked! trials owns
i must stress though, dont leave the hosing under the flame very long (couple sec and not fully in the flame) otherwise it will melt and diform.

Martin Reynolds
I found this. When clamping the hose down and gently tapping in the barb (as your ment to), the hose cracks. So if you gently heat the hose (with a lighter, for a few seconds) then tap it in, works a treat
J.KYDD
Think how spongy you're brake would feel unless the hose wasn't so stiff
