KEEPitSTUPID
Im currently running on a bash ring, but have recently straightened and cleaned up my bashguard mounts, is it worth fitting one? I cant decide alone, as im a newbie anyhow.
Sam T
Ring dude! Bashplates tend to crack your frame down to the vibrations going through the welds, whereas with a ring its just going through the crank.
alex-trials-boy
Bashplate does give more protection to the underside of your bike but it depends on the bashring your running if its a full circle your freewheel/front sprocket will have full protection. On the other hand if your still a beginner i'd remove your bash ring, add a spacer to fill the gap from the bashring and fit a bash plate. Once your more comfortable with your riding remove the plate and re fit the ring
KEEPitSTUPID
Good words, you recommend the plate because of the flat surface to land on to maintain balance? Whereas a ring could throw you off in the early efforts? I see what your saying, thanks.
Hayden Onza
I have both on my bike. they both do the same job just bolted on different areas.....
