Scott Gibbs
I think Hans Rey's frame was modeled on the zaskar frame. I had a chucker and the dropouts on a chucker are different and there is a bigger gap in the seatstay/toptube joint where it makes the signature GT "triple triangle". isitafox
I'm pretty sure Hans' bike was a Zaskar, in fact I've got a copy of Tricks and Stunts in front of me which I'll check shortly. I wouldn't wanna class a GT as a Hans Rey replica unless the frame was at least a Zaskar running some Rockshox sidehops up front and twin chainrings! Ali C
in Tricks and Stunts he was using just a standard Zaskar, but GT did bring out a Hans frame, possibly the same frame that was also sold as a Lopes sig frame too.
Punker
the spec and colour look different but this frame looks pretty much the same: http://www.hansrey.com/images/bikes/GT-Trials-Zaskar.jpg I remember these been on sale in blue so I reckon it is genuine

sstein
pretty sure they came in a few colours. In fact I seem to remember some pics of hans riding a red one in mbuk a few years back
Andeee
GT always go for the triple butted tubing on most of there frames such as the chucker, zaskar, avalanche etc...
