Seat Post Problem

Recommended Posts

My friend had this problem with his jump bike, first plan was to take the seat off and clamp the post in a vice and twist the frame but we didn’t have enough room, therefore, depending on what your clamp on the seat post, we swapped the seat and fitted some old handle bars onto the seat post using the clamp, we then gave it a spray with some WD40 where the post goes into the frame, my friend held the bike and I just twisted the bars like a giant cork screw and pulled up at the same time, took quite a bit of effort but we got it out in the end, I suggest next time when you fit your next seat post that you clean out the seat tube and grease up your new post, that will make it a hell of a lot easier next time.
