Miles Mallinson
I'm having trouble with 360's, do you sort of aim to land on the back wheel when you rotate I can't really figure it out. In some videos different riders do it differently, some do it to flat and some do it to the rear wheel which is best or easier way? Revolver
Can you 3-tap? That is, get to somewhere between 180 and 360, land on your rear wheel and then turn the rest of the way on your rear wheel? If you can do that, the trick is then tucking your back wheel really high so it doesn't hit the floor until you're all the way around. I've got to the stage where I can actually 360, but when I land I put my foot down.
Miles Mallinson
I can get around 270 then bring the front end round on the rear wheel, I do it quite slow though that may be the problem.
Revolver
Are you on a trials bike trying this? Try to get as much air time as you can, and really try to tuck that wheel up.

Revolver
It's harder on a trials bike. Stick with it!
Miles Mallinson
Why has this split? Also another question about spins, I can 360 tyre tap on my inspired but I'm not really sure its do-able off anything big without brakes. bikeperson45
Doing a 360 tyre-tap brakeless probably won't work, after the first 180 you have to really pull back to get any distance and I can't imagine that happening without the wheel moving, unless maybe you do it fast enough... And with the 360s, exaggerate turning your head, it really is the key to it. But I can't really talk, I can only do a proper bunny hop off pretty low stuff. Here's a good example (except the puncture, but that's the tire's fault
DeVal
I can 360 from a stand still (with brakes) and land on the back. The technique is basicly the same as a 180 or 270 just with a bit more power needed to realy kick the front around. the rear wheel stays almost exactly were it started apart from lifting off the floor. its a shame i dont have any vid links to show you. At first when you get to 270 (with brakes) you almost feel like your going sidways ue to the front wheel being fairly high but you just need to practice it... also on my bike (26) at least i cant make 360 moving, i have trouble hoping up large curbs at speed yet i can back wheel stall on something bar height lol p.s take it eassy, im used to doing them but i still yank my shoulder out now and then lol
Ali C
don't land rear wheel first, it's cheating and looks rubbish. As has been said, you need to look around with your head, this makes your whole body turn and makes it much easier, also don't stop looking, if you stop looking around with your head at the 180 point, you will come up short, keep looking until you have spotted your landing. Ideally you want to get nice and high and tuck the rear wheel up, the higher it is and more nose dived it is, the more stylish. Oh yeah, obviously don't pedal kick into them, that's also cheating, bunnyhop or don't do them I am a little scared of them, I have a nasty habit of nose diving too much and sending me over the bars. Miles Mallinson
Thanks for all the help, the slow motion bmx video was pretty good breaks it down alot, I'm just not twisting my body around enough and I need to carve alot more. Gonna leave brakeless 360 tyre taps for abit they feel pretty crazy.
