Hi all, squeaky new out of the box member as you can see, and so is my trials knowledge, im a quick learner though :-) i am making the jump from moto trials, and have always kept a keen eye on the bike trials because it looks amazing, i had to give it a go, by chance ive stumbled across a goos but tired bike from a friend, its a meta 360. Hs33 on ground rear and a hope disk mini on the front, front brake was ok, then i went out on my XC and realised how spongey it was against that bikes hydraulics.

I have bled the brakes with a bleed kit from my lbs, and it has bot improved, is this atrait of the brake? Or can i get it stiffer? I can pullit nearlly to the bar, after it has bit at arounds parallel with the bar. Thanks in advance, Dan.

When i first got the bike, it wasnt sat perfect, was sat on 1.5mm packing, m6 washer, i changed that for 0.75 that seemed to be alot better, but stupidly ive tried bleeding to lose spongieness, and it hasnt worked, i did it the car way though, let gravity do it, caliper design must mean you have to use the above method of pumping it down, need more oil now.

Little tip for you;

I found it a struggle to get a good bleed with the brake on the bike.

I took it off, and bled the brake with the calliper ABOVE the height of the master cylinder. I just screwed the calliper into the side of my work bench and filled and pumped my lever from below.

This allows any air to travel up the system more easily, therefore reducing the chance of trapped air and results in a better bleed!

Still follow the key instructions shown in the hope video though thumbsupanim.gif
