315r
I don't know nobody that use this. my advise, go for something that people use. Hope mono / tech or avid BB7
Scott Gibbs
If your going cable then Avid bb7's are really the only way to go. But try it mate you might be surprised!
davidbarr
I was tempted by one of those clark brakes after reading some of the reviews. Then i read some more of the reviews which put me off. Quote- "These brakes are so bad, I have a rear with 203mm rotor, arrived needing bled which, was fair enough, so bought the kit, bled them fine, were good for about a week, then all hell went down, as your going down the trail the lever manages to screw itself closer to the bars, which is no good at all and distracts you from having fun by having to screw it back out whilst riding I was once cycling to my mates which is about a 10 minute cycle, half way there oil starts pouring out the reservoir so had to ride home brake less, as at the moment I have no front brake, then week later the pad managed to rip itself off the metal that the piston pushes onto, I don't know whether I have happened to get one of a faulty batch or what, but unfortunately I am not impressed, OK they are cheap, but I still expect them to work. so sorry, but 1 star for me, as I have had nothing but bother since I got them." There are loads of good reviews as well though, so you never know. Edited April 29, 2011 by davidbarr
deilsonwheels
There's nothing wrong with them. Might be a few grams heavier than more expensive hydraulic brakes but they still work really well, good quality kit. Don't listen to brand snobs, I think the S2's have hope compatible pads and braided hoses as standard, so they are a bargain. I've got some Quad hydraulic brakes on my mtb that cost a similar amount and they are ace.

Scott Gibbs
I have the bikehut branded diatech anchor disc brakes on my rig with a 180mm rotor and its fantastic. I've had it over 2 years now and never let me down pads still have plenty of life in em and never been bled. I mean for £59.99 cant go wrong my friend even conceeded that they have more power than his mono trials.

Azarathal
Shimano Slx. One of my mates brought his lush as f**k hardtail into the shop and we were messing about out back attempting trials on it, surprisingly it's not too bad. Anyway, those brakes are nice and sharp with quite impressive hole, I'm not sure of the price but it's something to look out for.
