Azarathal
It's best to stick with vee's though.
KEEPitSTUPID
It's best to stick with vee's though. Hey all? Why are vee's better, im just making the leap from moto trials, its a genuine question dont want to be seen as arguing.
lucas-87
Because they just are actually i have no idea i also thought hydraulic would be better prob cost more to maintain / service ???
nb88
Vs can be really good if set up properly, theres a range of trials brake pads for V brakes now that didnt use to be around so they can be just as good as maguras if not better. If I were you I would stick with a decent V brake, plus magura evo mounts really suck. If you had 4-bolt mounts then a magura would be a better option. lucas-87
Ah right ok cool ile stick with what i have then its just that the oval hole does not seem to be long enough and i have got to point the pads down for them not to hit the rear tyre and idea ??? Scott Gibbs
I've litterally just swapped over to a v on the rear and its EPIC! The amount of weight i've shed from the rear disc is unreal the bike feels lighter, more spritely and flicky. Love it.
Luke Dunstan
I believe V's have more hold than Hydros. EDIT: pretty sure Ali will follow up with a long list of pros. Edited April 30, 2011 by Luke Dunstan
Ali C
don't count on it
Scott Gibbs
Quite possibly. certainly less maintinence. Easier to fix and lighter, spares are cheaper and best of all you dont have to bleed them!
