J.KYDD
1. White route Primary - BIU 2. Green route Novice - BIU 3. Blue route Intermediate - BIU 4. Black route Cadet - BIU - follws red route but with BIU rules 5. Red route Expert 26 - UCI 6. Red route Expert 20 - UCI 7. Yellow route Elite 26- UCI 8. Yellow route Elite 20- UCI Best bet is to post a video of your riding, even just a few clips and we'll best advise you on what route to enter Edited April 28, 2011 by kyddie
CalopS
Blue is a good place to start if you have the basic stuff down. You can change route after looking at the sections when you arrive and your allowed to try 3 sections before changing route as well. but yes a video would help.... jaym018
I cant get the videos off my phone at the moment as i have no lead :/ however they will be here soon!! But i can work on the back wheel fine, been dropping off about 4-5ft can turn on the back wheel etc etc! Sidehop about 12 inches this is definately my weak point! CalopS
Blue would probably be ok then. Its more on 2 wheels and rolling up things rather than on the back wheel till you get into red. or national blue level. I'm guessing comnig from yorkshire you would be entering the Tyke Trials? The next one is at Lee Mill Quarry which is probably a good first comp. Not really any horrible moss or things to go through.
dave33
Best thing is that you can go along an walk the sections then decide, if your finding it to hard and no fun then they let you change to a easier one

J.KYDD
Think you'd find blue pretty easy and red a decent challenge. Worth going red, even if you 5 a fair few of them.

Krisboats
Based on that video, blue/black. Its not how well you can do the sections at your best that you need to think about, it's how well you do when you're near the end of the day and absolutely knackered that is the biggest factor.
Matthew_Gibson
I went to lee quarry about 9 moths ago, and I was marking out sections, and I lasted about 30seconds over a section. arm pump was a killer! There not too bad now though! lol
