isitafox
Personally I'd go for the Zoot, almost bought one myself not long ago for a play about on!
Gaz96
The zoot has a really good reputation where as the ashtons not so much... THE Zoot also has a better spec I think, I have the Zoot Pro and rides really nice, so I would recommend the Zoot!
Miles Mallinson
I've ridden both the zoot and the effect, the zoot has proberly the best quality components and a better frame, but the ashton does feel good to ride, you won't be unhappy with either bike but the zoot is already a full package of quality stuff just get the stem changed because its abit of a beast. LROB87
ok thank guys i think i will go for the zoot but i will look for a inspired first lol you're very silly to start out on a ridiculously high end bike like that, its gonna get bashed and its gonna get dropped get a midrange bike to learn 2nd hand preferably then go for that when you've mastered the basics

Mark W
lol you're very silly to start out on a ridiculously high end bike like that, its gonna get bashed and its gonna get dropped ... Fortunately, unlike a lot of frames/bikes, Inspireds can handle it.
Themistoklidis
Well,i dont know about the ashton/diamondback,but i advise you to stay away from the zoot!Just save some more money and go for an inspired, used or new...As i had the zoot my self,i found it extremely flexible,(for example,if you are trackstanding with locked brakes, and you press the pedal not really hard, you can see the whole bb shell moving underneath you!)and i was constantly having problems with chain tension...
