Kieran Morrison
I've recently gotten a 1080p HD camcorder, and when i first tried to edit a video (on the normal windows movie maker) it wouldnt let me because of the files or something. So i tried the live movie maker, and now whilst editing i litterally cant watch it, because it wont play it just freezes (not the computer). And when im editing if i try and do anything else my computer freezes. Also sometimes when i try and play it, the little squares that represent the clip come up with a little yellow triangle with an exclimation mark, saying that i cant save it till that clip is gone or fixed (its impossible to fix because when i double click it like it says nothing happens) Anyone know whats the problem with this? Can anyone recommend a free video editor that runs HD fine? Is there any way of de-grading the resolution of the clips, and then saving them in HD? Thanks, Kieran. Revolver
Your computer might not be hardcore enough to handle 1080p. I recommend recording in 720p. If you use a copy of Premiere Pro you can export it at 720p resolution, but then you may as well just use Premiere.
MadManMike
Full HD editing requires a pretty beasty PC. Post the spec and people will be able to help you better...
