dirt jumper jake
Evening all, ive got a rear 26" Echo sl rim that i want to lace to my king hub. now, when you look on tartys it says the ERD is 532mm, but im measuring it as 520mm. Thats measuring from spoke hole to spoke hole, so i measured from the innerwall in the cnc'd scoop to the opposite appropriate spoke hole and got 532mm, surely this cant be right? can anyone explain this please? Adam/Mark? Or am i just being thick..? Cheers Edit: Trialshop.pl say 537 on there site.. officially confused :$ Edited April 20, 2011 by dirt jumper jake

forteh
IIRC measuring ERD isnt simply measuring from spoke hole to spoke hole, you need to put in a pair of spokes opposite each other, measure the lengths, multiply by 17 and subtract the volume of a pineapple and hey presto Im sure sheldon browns website tells you the correct method to measure it
AdamR28
Yep, Google is your friend! http://www.google.co.uk/#q=how+to+measure+ERD&fp=d1007c4880f2cdbd&hl=en Or just save your time and put 532 in as the ERD when you work out the spoke lengths.
