Carlperkins
Hey, Seen this bike at Halfords, Been reading up some reviews and it seems like a great bike for the money. Anyone else got one? What are your thoughts? Carrera Vengeance Ltd Edition Cheers all! BTW - This is my first post i would say as a general rule.. avoid halfords. EVERY time i either bought a mountain bike from there or a friend has, they are always shite, put together shite and when you complain and take it in to get it fixed they're shite and dont fix it. even a mate of mine who works there says that the bike techs are shite. ive been to 5 different halfords and they're ALL shite. but that is just my personal opinion. other than that, bike looks alright. if your doing mountain biking (blue or red trails) it will probably fall apart very quickly. youl need something a bit more robust. but if your riding on the road or slight offroad itll be fine.

Cheers for the reply - Yeah it'll be slightly off-road but mainly on road. I know a few people that have recently brought bikes from Halfords with no problems, Ive got a mate who is an ex-halfords employee that's pretty shit-hot with anything bike related. If i have any probs ill go crying to him lol
Revolver
Nothing wrong with that. It's no super XC bike, it's just like an ordinary bike, so as long as you ride it like that it'll be fine.

Culshaw95
it is alright but it is depending on what type of riding you will be doing if it is road biking then i guess that bike would be alright as long as you don't do anything major to damage it say try tricks if you were wanting to move on from road it would not be a wise thing to do with those sort of bikes especially from halfords they may say they are No. 1 bike specialists but most halfords aren't reliable
Happydaze
Ive dealt with Halfords, They were a bunch of idiots (at the branch I went to) Don't buy from them, Somebody on this forum will have what you are looking for, I would buy from here in confidence. I hate Halfords with a passion. and yes this is a completely biased opinion on personal experience Actually I rephrase my last comment they are not idiots.......they are f**king idiots. Funkenstein
Correct me if im wrong but this bike isn't actually made by Halfords (only assembled by them) Carrera Bikes are made in the same factory as Kona bikes. The quality of the bike isnt actually down to Halfords, im just buying it from them. I do know that Halfords make Apollo bikes for example which really do suck... dann2707
Don't bother, it looks cheap and nasty. Why have they named it a 20" when it's not?
Lawnmowerman
I sell these all the time, great bikes for the money. 20" is referring to the frame size btw. We're all experts at my store, so come and see us if you're not too far away. (Blackpool)
MuckySeas
i would avoid halfords the quality of their bikes are rubbish my reccommendation would be go to evans cycles they are top quality and will look after your bike when its ready for a service and that halfords dont care after you've brought the bike its just a sale to them Charlie
