Skoze
I got some pimp as f**k carbon ones on mine, may have fagged around with it so the weave lined up... :$ Just used the biggest ones i could! How's it feeling? Edited January 8, 2012 by Skoze
arw_86
haha, its the little touches that make it though! well i had a 90x35 stem on it (as seen in the darker image by the front door) and i thought it was a bit too high. so ive put like a 70x20 ish? and had a lil roll and it seemed alot better. i just really need to practice all this bmx'y stuff now. i cant see how its possible to do 360's though. you lovin yours? you need a video man! im gonna work on one over the next few months i think, just to get me riding more
Skoze
Yeah, it takes a bit of getting used to - makes it an awful lot more balanced though. I've not had any trouble with leaning too far back when hopping over things like i used to, just seems to level itself out nicely I find manuals easier too as you're keeping the front wheel lower. And threes are just like 180s but you spin faster Ben Rowlands always explains it like you manual into it which works, just preload, twist and keep looking over your shoulder. I need to get mine flatter but they're coming along.. And i'll be all over the video thing when the weather's a bit nicer! Glad you're getting on with it though Edited January 8, 2012 by Skoze
Chaotic3vil
Wow a lot of stackers. When will someone get some cruiser bars? Cruiser bars are ugly but so are those stackers. Nice looking bike though. Is it a cromo marino? How as it been handling so far? no problems, no cracks? Marino's regular steel frames broke quite fast, but I never heard about marino's cromoly frames cracking.

Rusevelt
*plods along* Looking good dude - though a change of bar and stem to something shorter and higher would sort it out nicely Shall be wicked to see it finished. Incidentally I got Marino to send it over to me raw so I could check it all out properly, though it had about 6 paintjobs the first month or two so that didn't last long! Geo was around 1035, +30, 380, 73 or thereabouts off the top of my head - tough I ran it brakeless with a slammed rear end which put it in the region of 1015, +30, 372, 73 (ish) and was a flicky fun machine. Need something like this back in my life. A winter of riding proper trials has been really good fun so hopefully I can keep the Koxx too, but I miss cruising and flowing round parks and stuff so much. Soon as that loan's in and a few people get back to me about frames it's on though! Prefer this clean and tidy build and finish to be honest. Im the second owner of this frame and cannot fault it at all to be honest
Chris Borneo
Looks rad. If it was mine, i'd go for a higher rise bar and loose some of the stackers but still think it looks really nice.

I would get higher rise bars but ive got used to these now and the trialtech high risers have too much upsweep for me, doesnt feel comfortable for my wrists. And i dont really know any other bars
Chris Borneo
Fair enough. Just out of interest, you drill the head tube yourself? I take it you've not had any problems with it? Thinkin of doing something similar but with s custom head badge in the middle.
arw_86
nah came like that, although its not perfect so i dont believe it was machined, just drilled by hand. no side effects at all.
