Carlperkins
have you got a local bike shop? any bike shop can put a wheel together. its actually pretty easy to be fair, you can do 90% of the job and save a lot of money. just watch a video on youtube on how to lace a wheel, its literally just like following a pattern, then do up all the nipples by hand for a few threads.... then when its all built, just take it to a bike shop and they will tighten it all up and true it. (£15 max) getting it built by a bike shop is just a waste of money.
Luke Rainbird
Taking it to get tightened at a bike shop after you've done the hard work is probably more of a waste of money! It is quite easy to do yourself and there are plenty of guides on the net to help you, but if you're not confident and nobody you know can do it, then ask around your local riders to find out which of your LBS's is best and go for them. Otherwise Tarty is a pretty phenomenal builder
LROB87
it doesnt make sense tarty can build it tomorrow if i buy the parts elsewhere and a week if i do wtf! can i buy the parts next day delivery from em and send em back haha
Luke Rainbird
With wheelbuilds from Tartybikes you'll be better off giving them a call for a proper ETA - they're busy so if there's a date there somewhere I'd go with the latter as a ballpark, but speaking to them will give you a much clearer and more accurate load of info

I'll sort it now.

Except for the fact that if you're going to do the hard work then let them do the easy bit and still pay £15 - you can most likely get a full wheelbuild for near enough that money anyway, despite the fact that you could use the same cash to just buy your spokes and have change left over for a cold beer afterwards If you're going to do the lacing yourself you may as well finish the job. If you're not confident in your own ability to do a good job, by all means pay someone who knows what they're doing but just let them do the lot. Tightening/truing a wheel is easier than lacing one up really, just take it slow and think about what you're doing and you can't go far wrong
