Recommended Posts

Hi, i was out on my bike today and i was riding down the road and all of a sudden my crank arm came loose and fell off.

why might this of happend.

I checked the bb, crank and bolt to see if anything was rounded of or if the threads had pulled out but they were fine.

I have put lock tight on the bolt and put it back on should this stop it from happening again and why might this of happened ?

posible a very small piece of something (grit etc)was between the crank and bb when it was tightened originally. then it poped out and made everything loose. i cant see what else it would be if your sure it was tight and everything checks out. just tighted it up again and see what happens. might just eb a particualr movement youve started doing that caused the crank to work loose. just lock tight it and keep an eye on it :)
