im changing my sprocket to a screw on one. and doing so changing cranks, bottom bracket etc..

but im worried whether i'll make the ratio between my sprocket and free wheel to low, as im used to riding what i think is 22 T(sprocket) to 16 T(free wheel). would it be to low a gearing to make the sprocket 18 T??

cheers moff

*and sorry i think ive seen this same sort of thing posted before, but i couldnt find anything in the search

22-16 is good for a 24", 22-18 is more like a typical stock ratio.

If you're doing 18 on the front, it's 16 or 15 on the back for a stock, or maybe 14 or 13 for a 24".

yeah im riding a 24", so what do you reckon i should just stick to what ive got. i mean like buy a 22 screw on. caus i dont wana have to change my sprocket and free wheel. already spent enough this month really cheers
