moff
im changing my sprocket to a screw on one. and doing so changing cranks, bottom bracket etc.. but im worried whether i'll make the ratio between my sprocket and free wheel to low, as im used to riding what i think is 22 T(sprocket) to 16 T(free wheel). would it be to low a gearing to make the sprocket 18 T?? cheers moff *and sorry i think ive seen this same sort of thing posted before, but i couldnt find anything in the search Edited April 15, 2011 by moff
Revolver
22-16 is good for a 24", 22-18 is more like a typical stock ratio. If you're doing 18 on the front, it's 16 or 15 on the back for a stock, or maybe 14 or 13 for a 24".
