My computer is utter shite, so no way it can handle the HD sides of it until i upgrade it. If you just put it onto 480p setting then your computer will be fine and the picture quality will be just as good. Everything is really zoomed in, which makes it hard to film in tight areas. Thinking about it, its probably not the camera for you I remember you saying that you film in tight areas so would be rubbish for that i guess! Graphics cards are mainly for displaying graphics, for video processing you need a decent CPU and as much ram as you can get your hands on.
