yo,

went to bleed my 2011 hs11 today but no luck! i can bleed older styles hs11 and hs33, so hows it done? ps sink bleed!

is it just the same principle?? as the (what looks like) grub screw is on top and went to bleed (has no thread, so does it just pop in) it exaculy like revolvers guide but no water went in the lever.

You have to undo the barbed fitting that attaches the hose to your lever 'til 3 threads are showing.

Magura's website has a pretty decent guide for it, I'd recommend checking it out...

cheers, thanks. all blead and on the bike but is abit gay u have to undo the barb! how does the tpa work? i pulled the knobby thing behind the lever out and it doesnt do anything (stiff).

AND a pisstake that there is no lever cover thing included

ALSO did i dream it or the barbed hose end are £15 EACH!!!!

Really? That sounds fairly poorly thought out on Maguras part!

Edit: Ah ok, not quite what I imagined but still seems a little odd with the open syringe to collect the used fluid...

It's a pretty good system in terms of getting a good bleed relatively easily - it's just a little messier post-bleed I guess...

The first line of the description:

- Official Magura HS11 brake lever (does not include Lever Cover or Hose Cover).

Can't really make it much clearer than that.

I don't really understand why it's "gay" you have to undo the barb - it's no different to having to have to undo the bleed screw on an older lever? It's even easier because you only have to have 3 threads showing instead of taking the entire thing out...

You don't need them for the brake to operate, and as the lever covers are available in a range of colours it doesn't really make sense to force someone to have to buy one with one.

The barbed fittings are pretty expensive at the lever end, but you get one with the lever itself and you shouldn't really have any problem with them breaking.

The TPAs are really stiff at first, but if you keep at it they become looser.
