l33th3tr33
I was riding along today and starting getting a loud bang noise coming from the BB area, had a little investigation and my cranks wobble even with the crank bolts tight. Would it be a case of new cranks, BB or crank bolts?
isitafox
Sounds like bearings or axle may be dead. What BB you got??
l33th3tr33
Off the top of my head I'd say try all, not 100% but it does have red anodized cups. Not the most helpful answer but yeah that's all I know. :/
isitafox
Well if it is a Tryall then the axle and bearings are replaceable so I'd get it off and have a closer look!
l33th3tr33
Just remembered, it's a viz!
biker boy!
Definatly bearings buggered dude, if they are not listed as a spare part anywhere you can gat replacements easy enough from bearing suppliers in a couple of days. On the side of the sealed bearings there is a plastic ring with some numbers on, just read them out to a bearing company near you and they can sort you out
N.Wood
Are the cranks wobbling on the axle or the axle wobbling within the cups? If its the former, new cranks. If its the latter, bb might be loose or you'll need new bearings.
