Rusevelt
I know that they are designed for trials but i quite often ride my bike to work (if i can be bothered!) and i wondered if that i was to do so would it wear it out alot faster or not? No danger there, but this stuff works a treat for maintenance. Sprays on like fine mist, but then quickly cools to form a fine layer of grease. Lucky to find this at my local Poundland store. Nick Manning
I bought my freewheel about a year ago and have had no problems. It has never skipped on me and has run smoothly. Mine is currently running exceptionally loud, I have no idea why, but it works well and I love it, I don't have a bad word to say about the Echo SL freewheel. However to make this a fair post, I have read a few people having problems with them, thought Adam Read has helped the establish that they have been subject to a lot of water, and all that was needed was a good spray of WD40 or similar to disperse the water and then then a lube up with some finish line wet lube or similar. What Adam says makes perfect sense, and those that have had to do this have said that their freewheel is working and is back to it's spot on performance. My only query with this, is that I went to Tarty Days last year, and my bike went into the pool of water a ridiculous amount of times and I my freewheel has worked fine, at one point i put some wet lube on the chain, but this was purely due to the chain getting a bit rusty a week after a muddy comp and lack of cleaning the bike. So not sure why mine didn't play up, but even so, if it was to play, it's a simple fix. 100% live by the ECHO SL freewheel. liam n
One word, YES! never skips, 3 out of 3000 failure rate tarty said. Big man uses one, and he swears by it Bigman doesn't ride trials no more he's a mototrial fanatic now I have an echo SL worked great for 2 months and then it became really stiff, so i took it off to clean it and lube it up again and there were two Big cracks going through the centre part ( the bit that attaches to the crank) I only weigh 10 stone and i'm not a big rider, and i use a bashplate there for i've never hit it :/ BUT tarty did kindly replace / fix it for me SL are meant to be solid but maybe im just special
