Revolver
It's the same technique, same fittings. The bleed ports are in the same place. More or less. Edited April 6, 2011 by Revolver

You can get the tubes already made up from tarty for a couple of quid.
Revolver
You need some hose and a barbed fitting. You could take a barbed fitting from an old bit of hose if you have one, they're usually found on the crossover bit. And a syringe, yeah. Although if you want to water bleed it, you can use a bath or sink, by following the tutorial video in my sig. Much less faff!

Matthew62
That's all you need. Make sure you get two tubes (not sure if the squeezer tube comes with one). 8mm ring spanner, 5mm allen key......torque rench.... get outta' ere!
LROB87
huh dont need one?
Matthew62
No of course you don't. Manufacturers have got to give recommended torque settings but all you need is the two tools i mentioned oh and another allen key....i think 2.5mm and just tighten them to a sensible level. Just don't go crazy and over tighten and you'll have no problems what so ever.

stephenmx50
Sorry dont mean to hijack the thread but just a question... Can you water bleed in the same way as shown in the video above? (i.e with a syringe) i know the answer will be its quicker with a bath bleed, but its not when you have to remove it from the bike with Evo 2 mounts!! AdamR28
It's always quicker with a syringe when you do it correctly (like the video).
Revolver
Syringe bleeds are the best. You can put antifreeze in a water bleed with a syringe, it's a waste to do it in a bath bleed. You fill your syringe up with water, blast out the oil, repeat a few times, then put a 1/4 antifreeze 3/4 water or something mix and bleed it through firmly. One day I'll do a syringe bleed video too
stephenmx50
Thanks Adam, i might be on tarty to purchase a syringe then! Cheers revolver for the advise aswell. I know this has probably been asked a million times but is there any chance of a leek from anywhere with the water as its much thiner than the oil? im happy with my magy with oil but everyone says how much better it is with water i might give it a go...? Revolver
Not really. If you're worried, put PTFE tape on all the threads.
