nathie wafie
So finally back riding for first time in 5 months. Had this built up for 3 weeks now. Built on a budget so nothing overly fancey. Rides very well from the first few rides ive had (bearing in mind im a little bit sketchy after the break). Had a really nice ride at barrow farm Sunday. I've gone for a Hannes Hermann Atomz inspired look. I will look to change to something with a higher bb at some point but this seems ok for now. Anyway, spec as follows: Because simple frame Atomz maggura forks Echo Tr Wheelset b, Atomz rim tape Maxxis ultralight tubes and single ply Hi-rollers. 05 Magura setup, tnn + Tryall clamps. Atomz / Koxx red pads. Trials tech bb + cranks Echo single cage pedals Tarty bash ring Sl black freewheel trialtech high rise stem and Tensile bars Comments welcome Nath

You need to fit the maggie = problem solved im thinking a metalic ruby red spray job... As regards 'budget build' ive been known to be a little extravagant in the past spending silly money on new builds etc. However age is bringing a sense of financial responsibility. I still brought the parts new from Tarty/Trial-bikes but not the expensive parts id like to buy. This bike was so easy to put together and setup. (bar bolt through forks!) ride/build quality seem good so definitly got monies worth which isn't always the case from some 'top-end' brands. Will probably stip it down tomorrow and give it all a good clean and a fresh grind but the maggie will be staying away. Could look good in a ruby red, would go with all the bolts. i like cunning stunts
Are both the high rollers 2.35s? How you finding the "low" bb after coming from your other bikes?

nathie wafie
Are both the high rollers 2.35s? How you finding the "low" bb after coming from your other bikes? The front is a 2.1 which suits really nicely. Light but offers a little more protection than the the silly kenda/conti supersonic tyres i ran before. As to the bb height... two wheel balance and control is much better. Backwheel isn't as comfortable as the sky or kortz i ran before. Its hard to say as only riden it 2/3 times and my ridings not where it was before i stopped over winter. I have found taps came really easy on this though. Had a quick blast for 30mins tonight and popped just over 117cm (think that about 46"s) and my technique felt alot more comfortable on the lower bb. The grey sky frame was what i set my best riding levels on so ill have to see how it goes over the coming weeks as i get used to riding again.
