SamKidney
After all my debating wether I should or not, Ive finaly swapped my mod for a stock Czar 06 26 with near full Echo SL build Im very happy with it and think I moved to one at the right time. Question is, I would like tips and advice as to what Tyres and Tubes are best for 26". Ideally a tube with a decent Puncture resistance : Weight ratio would be good. And good grip : weight : Puncture resistance for tyres too. Info would be extremely appreciated Thanks!
matt.price
at the moment i'm running , maxxis 2.1 high roller on front with halfords tube. maxxis 3.35 high roller on rear with halfords tube. they're great. EXCELLENT puncture resistance and they're also quite light ! not that dear also . can't go wrong !
CalopS
Get a der keiser for the back. Ive recently switched from mod to stock and the tire feels just as good if not better than any mod tire I've used. Great stability, bounce, puncture resistance and grip Stay away from the Maxxis larsen on the front, especially if your doing natty. Cant wait to swap mine for something better. Something not quite right there?! Seriously though get a der kaiser, it wont really matter about the tube then. I run a bog standard halfrauds one with mine, have bottomed out on the edge of walls and ledges loads and not pinched it yet. And if it won't fit then attack it with a stanley knife, I did with mine to get it to fit and it's spot on, not lost any grip from trimming it! AndrewG
kenda nevegal 2.5 K-1010 stick-e to rear. light and with freeride tube is nearly imposible to punched it .. and to front... I´ve got maxxis minion 2.35 pront thread but for most people is really heavy tyre. so I think 700g kenda kinetics 2.35 would be best and you can buy those 2 tires for less than 40pounds Edited April 3, 2011 by AndrewG
