Besides it been post mount I love it!

You just know there going to stick some crazys graphics on there though

It should come with maggie and disc mounts though. Its easy enough to angle grind them off if you realy want to save the weight.

But yer...well done onza!

Yeah i think its cool to have a change of mount though,

erm yeah maybe but then there would have to be intergrated boosters and it looks fresh with it just simple and hopefully they will just leave it a basic colour with some small graphics as it will look better than it already does!

They have done a good job!

looks really awesome! enjoy the frame :)

1 kg is sick! trials is in the good way =)

hmm, not sure I agree, there is more important things than weight. I would consider 1800g to be the best of both worlds. Will be strong enough to last a year or longer and not too heavy.

I don't get why companies machine out their head tube holes that way up...

Guessing because the top headset cup will take more force on a forward direction (thinking of gaps to front) so will need more material to resist flaring. Could just be a styling thing though :)

Would've thought the lower cup would've been more susceptible to flaring in the majority of situations - my main point was that if they're trying to save weight, it seems that doing it that way up isn't really optimising it, in that you've got all that spare material up there:

I don't mean they need to take all that out, but if they did a hole with that sort of orientation it'd match the 'look' of the ends of the top and down tubes, and it'd have more material that could be saved without having to go as close to the welds.

What about front hooks? You break a hell of a lot more forks doing that than gaps to front...

I had considered hooks aswell, figured that gaps to front would be a more commonly performed action though. The headtube is asymmetric, the lower bearing cup appears much heftier than the upper one so may need less material to support it - splitting hairs really as the only people who could tell us would be whoever designed it that way :)
