LROB87
Curious as to what the cost would be for a frame/forks re-spray and if anyone can reccomend anyone in the north-east area?
How Original
Not thought about giving it a bash yourself? I do all my own spraying, and it's as good as any shop would be. Might be worth thinking about

Might be worth thinking about Rubbish. Spray paint will never come close to powder coating. I sprayed my bike with anal attention to detail and thorough preparation and it doesn't compare to a powder coat.
mods
I sprayed my frame recently, i've done a few and they have come out fine. The only downside is it's not very strong, but then not much will hold up to a scratch in trials. I would go for a self sprayed jobby, you will only scratch it anyway. Up to you though really

Matthew62
100% of what? 100% covered? As i said i'm very thorough and when i sprayed my bike and forks i did it perfectly by the book so it's not something that could really have been improved upon....but like i said the nature of spraying a frame (or anything for that matter) compared to a baked, powdered method will never be the same. Do you honestly think your spray job is as good as a factory powder coat finish? As if you do, you're delusional.

Do you honestly think your spray job is as good as a factory powder coat finish? As if you do, you're delusional. Did I say I was powder coating it? No I didn't. Did I say I was as good as/better than a factory? No I didn't. 100% of nothing, I said 100% meaning no marks or blemishes or scratches or nothing like that. As in 100% smooth, all the same colour, no faded parts like you sometimes get. And actually, if you apply the paint properly, and also clear coat it well, it may not be as hard as powder coating, but you can get just as good a finish in my personal experience. Also, I prefer to try and test methods rather than go by the book. That way I know what works for me and doesn't.
