Joe O'Connor
Im very concerned at the moment. System Defender is popping up every five minutes with something along these lines. and And when you click remove all it goes here Which leads you to this place to get you to pay for it I havent paid anything because Im weary as hell. It seems legit at the same time as being rather unprofessional, the pop up are for one in red and they change their wording every now and then. Also because I did a Trend Micro Security scan and it said my computer was sound. A quick google check says its a scam. Like THIS SITE. You computer guys must know the truth? monkeyseemonkeydo
It's a scam. Shut it down from task manager, and run MSConfig to stop it running on startup. Then delete the files where it's installed itself to and get yourself some legit software to check for any real nasties. Something like AVG + Spybot would be a good place to start. I've had to fix this on a couple of PC's recently. It will likely disable the task manager so you are unable to manually cancel it. Easiest way to get rid of it is to restart in safe mode (usually F8 on startup) and do a system restore to an earlier date. Andy

I had to do one on Mel's grandad's PC and managed to boot normally and navigate to the offending program folder to delete the crap before it actually started in task manager. Thinking about it, safe mode would've been more sensible!
