davidbarr
Right guys, Helicoiled one of my hs33 mounts at the weekend and i have a problem. Everything was fine, but i took my clamps off to put my new slaves on and when i started tightening the bolt back up it started spinning (just as if the thread has stripped). I took the bolt out and the helicoil insert had just popped out. I re-tapped the mount - tried again, and had the same problem. Tried some glue but still, no joy. Any ideas whats wrong? Thanks

Luke Rainbird
If the thread you tapped for the coil to sit in was slack in any way the insert may come loose. Try with a dab of Threadlock (the permanent stuff) or a little superglue to stop it freeing up so easily
