Blake
Hey, I got a second hand echo SL booster not too long ago and it came with echo bolts, to start with they looked epic and they screwed in really nicely, I think they are aluminium? However the rest of my bolts are steel and they are so much better after a while, I found they don't round off easily at all and they're really tough, however my echo bolts have started rounding off already and think because it's a softer metal. Has anyone else found this or am I just crap at tightening bolts?
pogo
I've gone over my whole bike and replaced all the bolts i can with stainless cap heads, they look better and i've never rounded one.
dann2707
Use decent tools and use them properly and you shouldn't round off any bolts at all regardless of their material* *cheese not applicable. Matthew_Gibson
I got a few bolts by probolts, (the colourd ones on tarty)and they didnt last 5 mins, they were very soft. Steel is a better, but if the bolt head is shallow you'll run into problems.
AdamR28
I got a few bolts by probolts, (the colourd ones on tarty)and they didnt last 5 mins, they were very soft. I've used the same set of aluminium Pro-Bolts since we started stocking them in June 2008 and they are still like new. The amount of time a bolt lasts is 100% down to the user - selecting the right bolt for the application, then using the correct tools and procedures to install/maintain them. The bolts in the Echo booster are titanium, using the incorrect allen key will damage them instantly.
jambo
I've pretty much got full ti bolts with with the exeption of a few Alu ones used on the pinch bolts for my levers and bleed bolts.

J.KYDD
I'm rocking a full Ti and alloy bolt set on my rig and have had no problems at all. Know how and where to use them and you should have no problems at all
