Where and who should I be looking at to get my hands on some Liquid D&B, random youtube searches arnt turning up much apart from some pretty cool mixes: I want to get some names/albums/mixes to download and throw on my ipod though! Any and all help is awesome, Will.
Fish-Finger-er
not so much into liquid d and b myself(well i am but i find i can only listen to it as background music whilst doing something else), if you havent subscribed to it, quantum DnB's channel on youtube is great for hearing decent stuff. other than that, I'd probably wait for max quinn to post in here, as he always seems to link everyone to the best dnb/dubstep/hip hop. EDIT: you've probably heard all this stuff before but just thought I'd list whats on my itunes in that kinda genre; High Contrast London Elektricity Netsky Danny Byrd Deep Blue Seba (blaze and fade out is an absolute tune) Batchelors of science. eskimo
Try the Hospitality label. All my friends listen to that, but not into liquid really.
Mike Deere
For liquid dnb go for stuff from Hospital Records. They do a really good (read: award winning) podcast which covers loads of new music and you'll be able to pick up what kinda thing you like and what artists to look for from that. http://www.hospitalrecords.com/broadcast/ Also check out UKF DrumandBass on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/user/UKFDrumandBass

Max Quinn
Saw you're PM man I'll get involved properly asap I promise. I'm of the belief that mixes are often the best way to listen to d&b though, as there's less of an album culture (only a really established artist will release an album) and I'm not really a fan of just listening to lots of unrelated tracks. Sir Real's mixes are a good place to start for liquid. I'm not really a fan of the Hospital camp either, some amazing tunes but they tend to have a habit of ruining artists a bit by adding a few slices of cheese and generating this formulaic, dance floor liquid that sells cds to non d&b fans and makes lots of money. No disrespect to them as a label they have their niche and place (and there are still some awesome artists there like Logistics, not to mention their off shoot label 'Med School' which releases unbelievably good chilled out minimal tunes), just not my thing. But yer, I'll come with a proper list soon. Edited March 23, 2011 by Max Quinn

eddbmxdude
Im well into liquid/liquid funk etc. At the moment im loving Hosta (), Lenzman, BOS, Memro, Drifta etc. I find the best way to find new stuff is get yourself subscribed to a few decent youtube channels. You have to wade through a lot of shit to find the good stuff, esp with UKFDrumandbass, but its worth being subscribed. A few decent channels to get you started: http://www.youtube.com/user/AlongCameLiquid http://www.youtube.com/user/CheetahDNB http://www.youtube.com/user/MrSuicideSheep - By far my fav channel atm. Uploading some bangers atm http://www.youtube.com/user/pandadnb - Uploads decent mixes http://www.youtube.com/user/Seenesoust http://www.youtube.com/user/TehBassconnection - Another fav Few tunes im listening to at the moment, absolutely loving remixes for some reason http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_bwF-hQTJ4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzFIrDY67QA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK40VSffsIg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDJbvsJxEOM I hate it when people assume you like Dubstep just because you're into DnB. I hate most Dubstep! Good luck, enjoy!
