Duncy H
My bikes been stood for a while or had little use over winter. I run dual 05+ maguras and they both started to become a bit stiff, i've had both pistons out and lubed them both, the front has been stck before but is unsmooothly working atm. However the rear is well and truly stuck at the bottom of the piston. I've tryed using an air compressor and a syringe to force it out with no luck. Anyone got anymore tips? Duncy H
Borrow one, hehe. I'm already on it like gromit How did you go about sealing it/ensuring it was a tight fit?

Luke Dunstan
I have a track pump that can go up to 2000psi if it needs that kind of pressure.
Alex Dark
Boiling water, and an old spoke got my 04 one out . Why not try a syringe?
Revolver
The syringe is a push fit, they always pop off if you put proper pressure down them.
Duncy H
I've had it out and stuck a few times again. It just doesn't want to spring back at all when it's in there, what can i do to solve this? Is it time for a new o-ring/seal on the piston? Or is it time to put the lever to bed? AdamR28
Ideally you would lathe down the piston until it fits... but sandpaper/filel would do the job if you are careful. Take the seals off first though!
James Quigley
This happened to a lever of mine, no matter what I did whenever I put the piston back into the lever it got stuck. Left it in the bottom of a toolbox for a year, looked at it the other night and it had a lovely sharp springy action. I realise this doesn't help you but I was chuffed haha.
