Davetrials
Just found this link to the 2010 onza zoot on wiggle. I dont know if im being silly here but im sure its £540 on tartybikes, how the hell can wiggle justify selling it for so little, surely thats well below the mark up? Miles Mallinson
Ha forgot the important part, someone should buy one before they realise how much money they will lose.

Fish-Finger-er
theyve also got the onza comp on there stupid cheap (over £200 less than tarty) and its actually in stock, sure the zoot was in stock when i saw it the other day. wiggle are a multi million pound business, and selling stuff that cheap, so obviously still making a profit, this means adam etc at tartybikes must be making billions per year?!?!?! no but seriously if a customer range up wanting to price match in this situation would you be forced to oblige?? Mark W
We do usually, yeah. We do a like-for-like match so for 99% of places that means you get a bike in a box (no setup, no T-shirt, no chainstay protector, no Tarty multitool, no pad upgrades where applicable, etc.). Even though we don't make anything on bikes that way it sort of works out better in that when people phone up saying "I've got this new bike and ______ has gone wrong", we know more about where it's come from/what might be the problem. We usually get phoned up by people who've bought bikes like that elsewhere anyway, so it just makes our lives easier if it's from us. The whole Onza pricing thing's pretty weird anyway. The retail got pushed up in the middle of last year (to what we display now), as we were told that all shops would have to do that. There's a %age that shops are 'allowed' to take off that retail and still be 'OK' with Onza. However, there are a lot of shops out there who are still displaying the previous RRP (and then knocking even more of a %age off), so it makes it tricky when we have to deal with price matches because customers who are totally new to everything just assume we're trying to rip people off, which is nice...
