Southend Trials
Didnt think it would be in the trials section but thought it may have suited this part of the forum more.. Sadly after 18 years of manufacturing Race Face has closed down.. How sad! Does any one know why though?
monkeyseemonkeydo
Surely someone like Truvativ/SRAM or Shitmano will buy them out?

And yeah hopefuly some one will buy them out, i read that every one that worked there has been made redundant now that sucks, just more greef to japans economy as i beleive a fair few people worked for them! Southend Trials
probably have more things to worry than a small company going down... Economy as in money sector, more problems meaning the tsunami caused millions if not billions of "pounds" to be lost in repairs and now more people are out of their jobs means less money going to the goverment blah de blah... And jake, they were manufactured in japan i beleive, read the article on Pinkbike

And jake, they were manufactured in japan i beleive, read the article on Pinkbike Some of their low end stuff and the carbon kit was, but as far as I knew most of their kit was made in house in Vancouver. Testing and design certainly was. There are rumours that Shimano may become involved, if not someone will pick them up as the brand itself is too valuable. Shame as the kit from them over the last few years has been really good. Linky Edited March 13, 2011 by craigjames
