Luke Dunstan
After weighing my bike in at over 12kg last week, figured that most of the weight is on the back wheel. Really could do with some advice. At the moment I'm running the following on the rear... Maxxis Hi Roller Dual Ply - 998g Maxxis Downhill inner tube - 420g Echo TR Rear wheel - 1149g So that's 2.5kg on the wheel alone. What's available that would be suitable on the market, I've looked in to it a bit and found The Fat Albert which is a bit lighter, then go for a lighter inner tube maybe? What's the best rear inner tube for weight and strength? Cheers.
Revolver
You could try a swampthing and a thinner tube? I'm using that right now. With a dual ply tyre you don't really need a mighty tube as well.

Revolver
Not without taking it off to weigh.
craigjames
I used a Fat Albert and a normal tube and it was fine, pretty grippy too

Luke Rainbird
Mine comes in at 720g, so 770 is a pretty good ballpark!
