Culshaw95
I am have trouble deciding whether to get a new frame at the end of this year. I have been looking at the Echo Trial 2011 frame but i have only been doing trials for a few months i'm improving but i don't know whether it would help to do new stuff for it has no seat unlike the Zoot. jacksnell95
i would go for the echo as there is not seat and therfore there is more space for you to lean down to get more power into side hops and pedal hops but thats just my view on it but the zoot frame does look lush
Miles Mallinson
The zoot is quite different to the echo, the echo is more compy, tgs style 24 and the zoot is aimed at street trials not to say either bike isn't capable of different styles of riding. If your looking at the zoot frame on tarty go back to the 24 frame list and click on the 6th one down that is a better choice (inspired by the way)
Culshaw95
i got a 24" because its a bigger wheel base than my tiny bmx i didnt realize 20" have longer wheel bases but i want to learn more side hope base stuff
isitafox
Wait till December and think about it then, you may have changed your mind completely in 9 months!
BradJohnson
if your new to trials buy a used bike because a new frame will end up batterd and chiped where as a used one you wont be as bothered when you scratch it, and i dont think a new frame will make you ride any better. (it could make you ride worse if you start thinking about falling off it and breaking it)but if you really want a new frame go for the echo. ForrestDump
Rite oh, to start I think you should forget about wanting a new frame for now as your current reason for wanting the Echo is down to it having no seat, yes you would have more room to move about on it but it is a lot of money just for the removal of a seat. Secondly you said you wanted to learn more side hop based things, if that’s true, by the end of the year you might change your mind about a new 24" frame and go for a complete Stock or Mod. Defiantly wait until you have progressed more and have found a style of riding you enjoy as that will help choose as well.
Ali C
stick with the Zoot, you will become a better (allround) rider because of it, rather than having a bike like a pogostick that is only good for a hand full of moves.
Alex Dark
The Echo will be far easier to learn TGS style moves. If I were in your shoes that's exactly what I'd buy
sstein
how much of a beginner are you? can you bunnyhop over wheel height, pedal kick, back hop, endo, pivot, sidehop, drop higher than 2', etc...? If the majority or the answers you would give are no, then it really does not matter what bike you are on, you could learn them on a road bike. If you have got to a level where you are starting to develop a bit of style then the zoot and the echo are for very different riders and very different styles, though as ali said, learning on the zoot would make you a better all rounder

craigjames
Stick with the Zoot, you've got a perfectly good bike for learning the basics on. Just stick with it.
