Rusevelt
They look just like normal foam grips except that they are made of 100% silicone and come in two sizes and various colours. Reviews on this product are fairly mixed bag. Edited March 9, 2011 by Rusevelt
l33th3tr33
Considering they're made from silicone, wouldn't they become slippery when your hands start sweating?
Rusevelt
Yeah that thought had kinda crossed my mind because of the silicone material being slightly firmer hold than traditional foam. N.Wood
I live with the importer, Porter uses them on his trials bike and a few of us use them on xc bikes. They're pretty tough, they dont rip and wear out nearly as quick as standard foams. They get a bit slipper in the wet though. I prefer Echo/Trialtech grips on my trials bike but thats me. am-i-bothered
I have used 2 pairs now, they are awesome. They last a lot longer than regular foamies and they stick real well to the bars without any hairspray or anything like that.
Pritchett
I love ESI grips for XC riding and put them on my new fourplay. They don't get slippery when my hands sweat. They hold much better than Ourys (my previous go-to grip) in that regard. Only issue I have with them, is that on my trials bike, the area under my pinky finger callous seems to be compressing or wearing away quite fast. I've got about 15 hours of riding on them so far and I'm not sure if they'll make it past 50 hours.
