What Chain Tensioner?

Hi

I have been out riding today with mates and I was sidehoping onto a wall and came down and I snapped my sprung chain tensioner right off.

To my dismay I had to sit and watch for the rest of the day.

I dont want another one like this as the same thing will happen and i dont think a fixed one will be any better. My friends had snail cams and chain tugs. I now think one of these are the way to go. I have a 26" Diamond back Kubuki Mono. Which one would be best, pros and cons of both and which one can I get for around 25 pounds????

Thanks Josh.

Try and get your hands on a 74 kingz or make a spring tensioner. Or try a spoke.

I highly recommend the Echo tensioner. The only snag is that you need to run a Echo rear hub as the tensioner sits on the axle of the hub, this allows it to be tucked away nicely on the bike.

As seen below.
