multi tasking male
have an effect frame and have run magura on there for a while after running a v, real good performance but just a pain in the arse to set up as i have to use evo adapter. the v worked well but i bought one not long ago and got ripped off as the pins on the calipers where bent which has resulted in one of them snapping so i cant use that until i get a new pin so just wondering realy what a disk is like on the rear ? surely they cant be bad as inspired fourplays come standard with them ? thanks chris
craigjames
Think if you got a hope mono trial with a 180mm rotor on there it would certainly be up to it. Although i'd be more inclined to get a decent Vee set up.
Little Yoshi
Running duel disk on mine. And I highly recomend it. Got a mono 203mm on the back. No problems with it at all.
monkeyseemonkeydo
180 Tech Trial on the back of my 2011 Fourplay and it's almost too powerful for manuals and stuff- tons of power .

Revolver
I have a BB7 on mine, with a 180mm rotor. Once it's set up and bedded in nicely, it works fine. Some people can't get BB7s to work as a rear brake. I dunno what I did to mine to make it work but it does.

Filo
Shimano saint, shimano xtr, formula the one/mega all shit hot. I have the same feeling with hope brakes.Im really loving how my saint works.
Scott Gibbs
Problem is with the ashton frame is there is only room for a IS mount caliper. So either a hope or a older magura louise if you can find one.
monkeyseemonkeydo
Or run an IS-post adapter?
Scott Gibbs
I dont think they'll fit in properly
Matthew62
Do the Saint brakes have that Servo-Wave feature because that doesn't sound too appealing for trials..?
TrialsMan Dan
you can only fit a 180mm rotor on the ashton and its a direct mount (set at +20) so you cant use any adaptors
Matt Vandart
Shimano saint, shimano xtr, formula the one/mega all shit hot. This, best brake I ever owned
Scott Gibbs
underpowered, easy to glaze/contaminate. I have a 200mm on the front of my bike and it's still crap. Holy crap a rider on TF not bumming hope brakes my god what has the world come to!
Ali C
it may be the way I ride, dragging the brake down hills etc. Still unacceptable in my eyes though.
Ross McArthur
underpowered, easy to glaze/contaminate. I have a 200mm on the front of my bike and it's still crap. Wouldnt that be a problem with the pads then? I know what you mean though, I had one and got rid after having the same problems as you.
